Dr. Noémi-Anna Bara is a primary care physician in allergology and clinical immunology, recognized for her significant contributions to the field. Initially oriented towards cardiology, she chose allergology due to the challenges and scientific interest it offers.
Currently, Dr. Bara is the head of the Hereditary Angioedema Expertise Center at MediQuest Clinic in Târgu Mureș, Romania. Here, she coordinates diagnostic and treatment activities for patients with hereditary angioedema, a rare condition characterized by recurrent episodes of swelling.
Additionally, Dr. Bara has been involved in international initiatives, such as the global registry for hereditary angioedema, which collects demographic and clinical data from patients to enhance the understanding and treatment of this condition.
At the EAACI Congress in 2024, held in Valencia, Spain, Dr. Bara presented a study on the evolution of quality of life and disease control in Romanian patients with hereditary angioedema treated with Lanadelumab, highlighting her commitment to research and improving treatments for these conditions.
Her active involvement in continuing medical education and in implementing best practices in allergology and clinical immunology places her among the respected leaders in Romania’s scientific community, contributing to the theoretical development and improvement of treatment for patients with allergic and immunological conditions.
