Dr. Mirela Pavelescu is a highly experienced pediatrician and specialist in pediatric allergy and clinical immunology. She currently serves as a Lecturer (Șef de lucrări) at the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest and practices at the “Grigore Alexandrescu” Emergency Clinical Hospital for Children. Her clinical activity is dedicated to the complex management of allergic diseases in children, with a focus on early diagnosis and innovative therapeutic strategies.
Her research interests are centered on pediatric asthma, atopic dermatitis, and food allergies in children. Dr. Pavelescu is an active member of the Romanian Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (SRAIC) and the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI). She has contributed to numerous scientific publications and is a frequent participant in national and international medical congresses. In addition to her clinical and research work, she is deeply involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents, contributing significantly to the development of pediatric allergy as a specialty in Romania.
