Prof. Frank Siebenhaar

Prof. Frank Siebenhaar is a distinguished dermatologist and allergist with a focus on mast cell biology and mast cell-mediated diseases. He currently serves as the Head of Patient Care at the Institute of Allergology, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, and leads preclinical development at the Fraunhofer Institute (ITMP IA) in Berlin. He received his medical degree from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in 2003 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Experimental Pathology and Immunology at Harvard Medical School (2007–2009).

His clinical and research expertise is centered on mastocytosis, chronic urticaria, angioedema, and autoinflammatory syndromes. Prof. Siebenhaar has authored over 200 scientific publications and is a key figure in international medical networks, serving as the Chair of the European Competence Network on Mastocytosis (ECNM) and President of the German Working Group of Dermatological Research (ADF). He is also an active member of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) and is heavily involved in clinical trials and the development of new diagnostic tools and treatments for mast cell disorders.
